- Books are so important for children of all ages to stimulate their imaginations, to ask questions and immerse themselves in so many different realms.
- My books are designed with the needs of the modern day student in mind. With so much competition for today’s child with technology, my books enable children to reach into a story in an Aussie environment with believable action elements and chapters that are short and sharp.
- The characters are diverse in terms of background and skill sets. This blend enables the group to work harmoniously in solving clues and fight crime. There is humour intertwined into the stories as well as heart felt moments where family and friends unite.
Who have I written these books for?
Books for children aged 8-14
This series of books are designed for the 8-14 year age group, however older teens and adults will also enjoy the stories. Containing a blend of action, humour and strong characterisation, my books try to incorporate believable adventures in modern day Australia.
Why I believe that reading is important
Reading in the modern world is just as important as it ever was
Children are brought up these days with so much visual stimulation through the advent of technology even at an early age. Indeed, the iPad generation are thrust into the world of the visual learner where the touch of a button or swipe of the finger will bring instant gratification.

I liked the characters and how the story developed. The twist at the end surprised me and I liked how all the characters are different. I can’t wait to read the next one.
I love this book. My favourite was Phoebe because she reminded me of me, and she is kind.
I liked the mystery that they had to solve and the friendships that were formed between the school friends.

I love the Five Alive series! My favourite character is Gillian because she is adventurous, a dare devil and is always up for a challenge.
I like how each character has a role in solving each mystery. The plot twists at the end really got me engaged. Can’t wait to read the next ones!
I have loved reading your narrative. The description of the setting is beautiful and helped me to understand where the characters were and painted a clear picture in my mind of what the setting looked like.
Different point of views - this was very smart, gave me a lot more information on the characters perspectives. Loved this.
The plot was very engaging and had me wanting to read more. I loved the idea of searching for buried treasure and finding clues.
The ending was very satisfying, suited the story perfectly. There was a great sense of closure and resolution.
I loved how the supporting characters had their own interesting personalities and this was very clear throughout the story. The dialogue was also extremely helpful with this.
There was strong imagery throughout.
